Location
Sitting right on the beach, the Whitesands resort is located north of Mombasa City and 25 kms from Mombasa Aiport.
Rooms
The rooms are of a very good standard and have tiled floors and en-suite bathrooms. All rooms have air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, fan, mini bar and in-room safe. There is also a writing desk, wooden chairs and a balcony for guests' use.
Restaurant
There are three restaurants at the resort. The large main restaurant offers a huge buffet with a wide variety of food to choose from. There is also a beach front restaurant that specialises in fresh Seafood as well as a cafe or diner that serves food 24 hours a day.
General
One of the best resorts in Kenya with an excellent reputation and 200 metres of beautiful beach front, the longest seafront on the north coast of Mombasa. The resort is set amongst 22 acres of tropical gardens, swaying palm trees and swimming pools. The main outdoor swimming pool is huge and stretches out into different directions with shallow parts suitable for children. There is a water sports shop and office where guests can organise snorkelling and scuba diving. A children's club is available as is a baby sitting service. A variety of entertainment is on show every night. There are a number of sun-bathing areas on the beach and around the resort drinks and snacks can be ordered by the pool.
